Gavin Herlihy
Gavin Herlihy’s music has been a constant feature on underground house and techno’s most iconic labels since 2006. After starting this year with a bang with releases on esteemed labels Culprit, Crosstown Rebels, Get Physical and Leftroom his discography is backed up by previous outings on scene leaders like Cocoon and Buzzin Fly. As comfortable writing sublime deep house as he is at crafting no-nonsense future techno, few artists have achieved such a broad base of label support as this enigmatic Irishman.
Now based in the UK’s capital of house music, Leeds, Herlihy (pronounced Herl-i-hee) is an established feature on the global DJ circuit. He earned his place thanks to a two year stint learning his trade as an up-and-coming producer in Berlin at the end of the 2000s where he notched up gigs at the Panorama Bar, Watergate and Bar 25. In the last year his tracks have been championed by a diverse array of DJs from Seth Troxler and Ricardo Villalobos to Jamie Jones and Pete Tong. A split EP with Detroit legend Delano Smith last Summer was supported by the house and techno elite. Deep and dark bomb ‘With Me’ added fire to his ever evolving relationship with hot UK label, Leftroom while in February 2012 his Witching Hour single on Crosstown Rebel scored a Top Ten chart placing in Beatport’s Deep House Top Ten. It was closely followed by another bomb EP lead track ‘Get Loose’ which became a worldwide house anthem championed by many including Pete Tong on his Radio 1 show and iTunes in their featured tracks section.
It’s a long way from his debut single ‘Machine Ate My Homework’ in 2006, hailed by DJ Hell and Laurent Garnier as one of the tracks of the year. However, his roots in dance music lie much deeper than that. Herlihy’s teenage years were spent lost in the experimental rock of bands like Sonic Youth, Rage Against The Machine and Fugazi before uncovering electronic music during an eye opening festival pilgrimage to England at the tender age of 14. During this pivotal trip he remembers in particular hearing early drum ’n’ bass on a north London pirate radio station. “It sounded like the future being beamed down the radio waves,” he says. “And I’ve been chasing it ever since.”
The coming months will find Herlihy building on the success of his releases in 2012. With forthcoming music squared away for some of the scene’s most talked about labels, plans for his own vinyl only label in the making and his move last year to London super-agency Air London adding extra fire to his bookings, his star is set to shine even brighter than ever.

Born in Sicily in 1981 As a child matures a great passion for music, soon discovers the pleasure of playing and decided to jump headfirst into DJing.
Understood early on that his passion is music and the world of the night, every day that passes is attracted by sounds and melodies, then starts to take the path of the DJ in 2001.
Begins the first dj to Deep Club Formigine (MO) where he organized one of his first parties. At the conclusion of this project that you created the Staff undertakes various collaborations with local Emilia.
In 2002 / 2003 working for several local and province of Modena, including Cinderella Club – Rubiera (RE), Villa Freto – Modena,
The Shed – Bologna etc..
From 2004 to 2006 in all the collaborations extend the premises known as Emilia-Romagna (DocShow, of Rose Cottage, Matis Club, Kinki Club – Bologna | The Stables, The wine cellar, Snoopy Club Spirity Club – Modena | Adrenaline – Reggio Emilia).
From the 2007-2008 season is resident at Maffia Club (RE) – Matis Club (BO) – DocShow (BO) – VOX @ squilloevent Nonantola (MO). Finally once a month organizes roadshow “Psycho Party” Club of the Deep
In 2009 starts to work, learn and share from the console with the sacred deep tech house masters such as: Ellen Allien, Dan Ghenacia, Dyed Sondorum, Simon Baker, Ralf, Andrea Arcangeli, Sasha Dive, Fabrizio Maurizi, Sistem of survival: Slom Aber etc. …
To never lose the rhythm begins to devote himself to the one that always appossionato to produce so much ….!

Started promoting events in 1997. Started djing in 2002.
Been playing for the past 10+ years alongside the biggest and coolest djs & producers from all over the world in the best clubs … From Amnesia in Milan, to Red Zone in Perugia, from Cocoricò in Riccione to Dok in Bologna , and my very own Barn Club & VR33 plus loads more all over Italy & Europe (Sónar 2015)
Started making music in 2010, so far with releases on Autan Rec., Smoke Joke, Infinity Label, Gitex Audio, HouseBeat Records and Urban Legend Recordings, and already remixed by Outart (Moonharbour, Ianvs 71) , Manuel De Lorenzi (Kina, Indepth, Little Helpers) and Francesco Bonora (Plastic City, Abstract Theory, Manocalda).
His music is deeply rooted in the sound of Detroit , London and Berlin, with a big love for deep twisted basslines coupled with jackin beats, dramatic riffs and hooks of all sorts. It’s music for the mind, to make your brain move with your body.
Currently he’s resident dj for BARN Club in Modena + VR33 in Reggio Emilia on Fridays, and for DOK – Docshow in Bologna on Saturdays . He is also resident dj for Paranoic Dancefloor, one of Italy’s coolest One-Night, and regular guest of Superstar @ Sali & Tabacchi in Reggio Emilia on Wednesdays.
Lately he’s been destroying dance floors all over Italy with his music partner I.G.N.A. ,so that in 2015 he’s been granted the opportunity & the privilege to record a podcast (158) on one of electronic music most influential labels Cadenza Music!

Inizia la carriera nei clubs come promoter nel 1997 al fianco di Stefano Borelli, la passione per la musica già nel sangue, avendo iniziato a collezionare vinili a 45giri nel lontano 1988. Solo nel 2002 l’esordio alla consolle dei clubs iniziando al Les Folies de Pigalle ,al Matis Club per i Juice of Juice ed al Miss America .
Dal 2005 al 2009 trasferitosi per studio in Australia , entra in contatto con artisti importanti della scena progressive e techno ed ha così modo di sviluppare la tecnica e la cultura musicale , suonando nei migliori clubs di Melbourne e tenendo anche diversi shows sulla nota emittente radiofonica Kiss Fm.
Negli ultimi 10 anni ha avuto il privilegio di suonare al fianco dei più interessanti e famosi artisti della scena globale e nei migliori clubs italiani, dal Cocoricò di Riccione all’Amnesia di Milano ,dal Redzone di Perugia , al Dok – Docshow di Bologna , e poi ancora al Classic Club, al Prince, al Peter Pan , ed ovviamente al Sali & Tabacchi e nei suoi due gioielli Barn Club e VR33 .
Dal 2010 ha iniziato a produrre musica , finora con alcune release su piccole labels italiane fra cui la napoletana Gitex Audio (sub-label di Etichetta Nera), la Smoke Joke di Ivan Iacobucci , la veronese Autan dei Pizeta , la Infinity Label , oltre a HouseBeat Records e CSK:Beat, fra l’altro con remix di Outart , Francesco Bonora e Manuel De Lorenzi.
Il suo suono fonda le radici e mescola influenze della techno di Detroit, della progressive house inglese della metà degli anni 90 e della techno di Berlino.
Durante i suoi sets crea un sound fluido, caratterizzato da basslines super groovose, le drums ed i beats sono jackin, rotondi e le pause e ripartenze tengono il pubblico vivo in pista , stimolando oltre al corpo anche la mente.
Al momento le sue residenze sono al VR33 ed al Barn Club i venerdì sera, al DOK di bologna il sabato sera, oltre alle serate Paranoic Dancefloor, una delle one night più cool che esistano in italia, ed ovviamente al Superstar @ Sali & Tabacchi il mercoledì notte.
Di recente i b2b assieme al socio ed amico I.G.N.A. stanno devastando i dancefloor di tutta la penisola, e visti i successi di pubblico ha avuto l’opportunità ed il privilegio di registrare un podcast (158) per una delle labels più influenti e rappresentative della scena globale , Cadenza Music !
Nik Giovanelli
Nato a Vignola nel 1988, Nik cresce a pane e musica grazie alle raccolte dei genitori, spaziando da Sex Pistols, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Pink Floyd e Bauhaus fino al synthpop di Pet shop boys e Depeche Mode, passando per i Talking Heads. Ha solo quindici anni quando inizia a suonare, quasi per scherzo, presso il club “le Scuderie” di Modena, dove ottiene la prima residenza da dj. Il 2007 è l’anno dell’incontro con Dandi&Ugo, primi a credere in Nik come producer, lanciandolo sulla loro label “italobusiness”. La track “Andy Warhol” vola in poche settimane nelle top ten techno di beatport e risuona nei migliori clubs del mondo. I successivi EP sempre su Italobusiness e su Frequenza (Label di Alex D’elia), ottengon supporto da artisti del calibro di Umek, Mihalis Safras, Marc Romboy, Alan Fitzpatrick. L’onda di Andy Warhol porta Nik ad esibirsi in locali come la piramide del Cocoricò, Echoes, Matis, Prince dividendo consolle con mostri sacri come Frankie Knuckles, Tiefschwarz, Satoshi Tomiie, Mikael Stavostrand, Joseph Capriati e molti altri.Il successivo ingresso nello staff di “Paranoic dancefloor”, dove attualmente lavora, gli consente di far conoscere il suo lato più “underground”, valorizzando la ricerca di nuove sonorità, affiancando artisti mondiali come Ellen Allien, Dinky, Kabale Und Liebe, Ralf, Mayaan Nidam e tanti altri. Attualmente è resident presso BARN club, a Modena, uno dei club più innovativi e rivoluzionari di Italia.
Alexander Cherry
Alexander Cherry nasce a Reggio Emilia, classe 1990. Già dalle sue prime esibizioni è stato apprezzato il suo modo di coinvolgere il pubblico attraverso il suo stile, il suo carisma e la sua grande passione per la musica. Questo lo porta ad esibirsi in brevissimo tempo in molti dei migliori Club d’Italia. Ha avuto il piacere di condividere la consolle con molti artisti di fama internazionale come: Andrea Oliva, Paco Osuna, Ralf, Tiefschwarz, Sis, Michel Cleis, Valentino Kanziani, Carola Pisaturo, Leon, Reboot e tanti altri. All’età di 20 anni, Berlino si trasforma nella sua temporanea “casa”. Inizia proprio qui ad affacciarsi nel mondo della produzione. Ora Alexander è parte integrante di un progetto: INFINITY LABEL. L’etichetta lo ha spinto in due, iniziali, scenari musicali importanti, ovvero: Ibiza (nel 2011) e il Sònar Festival di Barcellona (nel 2013 e 2014).
